Texans received a police alert in the search of the Chucky Doll, the character of a Horror film
The Texas Department of Public Safety had issued an amber alert reporting that a child had been abducted. Glen, the abducted victim, is a red, auburn hair and blue eyes boy. Glen has been described as wearing a blue shirt and black collar prior to his “disappearance.”
The Amber Alert, typically used in the search for missing or abducted children, but this time listed Chucky from the film Child’s Play as a suspect. Chucky, a 28-year-old male with red or auburn hair and blue eyes who stands just 3 feet 1 inch tall is wanted.
The alert statement race was given as “Other: Doll.” The 16-pound suspect was “wielding a huge kitchen knife” and wearing “blue denim overalls” prior to his “disappearance”.
The statement attached an image of Chucky, the evil doll from a series of terror films, last seen at 700 Pine Street, in Texas.
Child’s Play (also called Chucky) is an American horror slasher film series created by Don Mancini. The films focus on Chucky, “a notorious serial killer who frequently escapes death by performing some kind of ritual to transfer his soul into a “Good Guys” doll”, according to Wikipedia.
The alert was “result of a test malfunction”, Texas Department of Public Safety said. “We apologize for the confusion this may have caused and are diligently working to ensure this does not happen again”. In sum, it was a non voluntary mistake.
